London Police buy Norwegian Electric Car

The London Metropolitan Police bought two electric drive cars produced by Th!nk Norway, says New Europe

The cars will be used for silent patrols in Central London and will not be equipped with sirens or flashing lights. "They will make it possible for us to drive quietly, and surprise burglars and other criminals," says Chief of Police Sir John Stevens. The Norwegian-designed battery-powered vehicle has a top speed of 100km/hr, and a range of 85km between charges. Located in Akershus outside Oslo, Th!nk Norway was acquired by the U.S. Ford Motor Company last year.
